It’s that time of year again! Business Wire is again headed to the Annual Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting in Omaha. As always, we’ll be selling a great item at our booth to support a great cause. This year, we’re selling commemorative Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Meeting pins. Check them out:

Get Your Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Meeting Souvenir Pennies and Passports!

We’re just back from Omaha and the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting. It was Business Wire’s  fifth meeting as a Berkshire Hathaway company and each year seems to get better and better.

It’s safe to say that the souvenir pennies we brought to the show, run through our exclusive penny press machine, were a runaway smash hit at this year’s meeting, where we sold more than 200 sets of four commemorative coins in souvenir passport holders. (This year’s meeting theme? Planes, trains and automobiles!) We raised money for a very important charity, CASA of Douglas County, Nebraska, an organization that provides a voice for abused and neglected children within the court system.

If you were unable to attend the event, or otherwise would like to buy a set, you’re in luck! Send us your $5 CASA donation in the mail and in return, you’ll get a set of all four smashed pennies in a souvenir passport holder. Pennies From Omaha

It’s nearly that time again:  The 2010 Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Meeting is this coming Saturday, May 1.  I will be attending this year’s meeting, along with nine other Business Wire people including our CEO, Cathy Baron Tamraz.  And once more, Business Wire is providing a fun item for other attendees to pick up and help support a good cause.

This year, visitors to Omaha can visit Business Wire and spend a dollar to smash a penny! Our specially designed penny press will allow you to create a souvenir penny with any of four fun designs, including images of Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger.  Each souvenir penny, which will include a commemorative folder, will cost $1.  All proceeds will once again benefit CASA of Douglas County, Neb. Following up on last year’s successful effort, Business Wire is again offering an exclusive commemorative item at this year’s Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder’s Meeting, being held May 2nd, 2009 in Omaha, Neb.

Just back from Omaha and the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting. It was Business Wire’s third meeting as a Berkshire Hathaway company and each year seems to get better and better.

In addition to getting to talk with so many Berkshire shareholders, this year we created a set of limited edition trading cards that we sold to raise money for a very important charity, CASA of Douglas County, Nebraska, an organization that provides a voice for abused and neglected children within the court system.

The cards (six different ones) feature photos of Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger and BW’s Cathy Baron Tamraz, along with quotes from each. We’re proud to say that so far we’ve raised $5,000 for the cause. We do have a few more sets available that you can order if you weren’t able to get to Omaha.

At this year’s Berkshire Hathaway Shareholders Meeting, Business Wire has put together a series of six commemorative trading cards featuring quotes and photos of Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger and Cathy Baron Tamraz as well as “stats” on Business Wire. The cards are dated to mark this year’s BH shareholders meeting on May 3, 2008.

With these cards, we’re raising money for CASA of Douglas County, Nebraska.
