  1. What if I want to have an Online Newsroom with Investor Relations capabilities? Would I have to buy both of your products? Seems that there should just be an Investor Relations area within your Online Newsroom and not two separate products, which means twice the maintenance costs, twice the accounting, twice the management of look/feel.

    By forcing people interested in an organization’s news and financial information to go to two separate web sites, it seems that you are going against the efficiency, streamlined and centralized nature that you would expect to see from a leading vendor in this space.

    It seems maybe some more thought should be put into making life easier for your clients instead of finding ways to double bill them?

      In our journey, we’ve found a need for separate online newsroom and investor relations micro sites. This is due to several factors:

      - Although both the online newsroom and investor relations site may receive a slight overlap of attention, they do cater to the needs of different audiences. The more targeted an online newsroom or investor relations center, the better the audience experience.

      - Usually, different departments within an organization manage the individual micro sites. This gives that specific department control over the targeted messages they need to deliver to their audience. You’ll find that the corporate communicator will lean toward the features and functions of the NewsHQ Online Newsroom, while the investor relations officer will utilize the financial features found within the InvestorHQ Investor Center.

      - Most often, each department manages its own budget and the timing of that budget. Neither department wants to allocate funds toward a solution that isn’t built to accomplish their needs.

      - There are hosting variables that affect the individual micro sites. We understand that both the corporate communications department and the investor relations department prefer to be responsible for the factors that affect their traffic.

      - Both the online newsroom and the investor center are important enough to warrant their own navigation tab on the organization’s main site.

      Although the occasion is very rare, I do agree that there is a possibility that someone may need a micro site that contains the combined features and functions of both the NewsHQ Online Newsroom and the InvestorHQ Investor Center. When that situation does present itself, we will work with our client to make sure we provide them with a cost-effective, customized solution.
